At the end of myself…at the feet of Jesus

Matthew 25: 40, And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

I’ve no idea what your unimaginative chatterings

are supposed to mean or prove,

Especially to me, who I am today.

Your words go over my head

As much a Greek or nuclear physics.

Yet I’m sure you mean it all

and expect the same from me.

I am no longer of you or for you.

I am no longer aware of your world,

Although it once was mine.

I can only watch in wonder

As you continue where I once was,

Totally unaware that I’ve gone.
